Sealed wood storage vaults
One shipment, one vault, one seal, one tag against the manifest you have held since pickup.
Storage · our Fort Lauderdale-area warehouse
Closings slip. Leases start late. When your dates open a gap, the shipment comes off the truck into sealed wood vaults at our Fort Lauderdale-area warehouse and stays on the same inventory manifest as your move. This page is the warehouse half of that arrangement: what the place is, what it costs to pause there, and the one line, day 90, where the paperwork changes. Moves from or within Florida qualify for up to 14 free warehouse days; your team confirms the dates, handling and any paid extension.
The place
This is not a self-storage aisle with roll-up doors. It’s the building our interstate operation runs through: a dock where shipments are inventoried, sealed into 7×5 ft-ft wood vaults, tagged against your manifest, and stacked until delivery day.
Each vault holds about 245 cubic feet of household, so a typical 2-bedroom home fills 3 of them. Your goods don’t mingle with anyone else’s: a vault is sealed with your shipment inside it and opens against your paperwork, not a master key. The tag on the seal matches the line on the manifest you’ve held since pickup. That chain of inventory, seal, tag and manifest is the whole security argument we’re prepared to put in writing.

The one decision
Storage during a move isn’t one product. It’s two, split by a line the industry draws at 30 to 90 days. Inside the window, storage in transit rides your moving bill. Past it, storage stands on its own paperwork. Same vaults, same building, different rules, so here’s the map.
Storage in transit · days 0 to 90rides the moving bill · one estimate, one carrier
Monthly warehouse · day 91+its own arrangement, its own terms
Past the window, or with no move attached, you’re renting vault space by the month. The rate needs confirmation for your inventory and dates; warehouse handling in and out is reviewed separately, and the terms convert to storage’s own paperwork. Ask for that conversion in writing before day 90 arrives, not after.
Moves from or within Florida qualify for up to 14 free days in our Florida warehouse. Storage after the included days, warehouse handling and redelivery need confirmed terms. Storage in other states is available by arrangement and is not automatically free.
This is a planning range, not an estimate. Your exact price is put in writing after a video or in-home survey, as federal law requires. That written estimate is either binding or non-binding.

Add the furniture and boxes that need to wait, then enter the exact number of storage days in the moving planner. A month is not treated as a fixed number of days. Eligible Florida moves show the free allowance separately from any days that still need pricing.
Straight answers
Moves departing Florida or taking place within Florida qualify for up to 14 free days in our Florida warehouse. Enter the exact number of days and select the company warehouse in Florida in your move plan. The team confirms availability and dates before booking.
Storage after the included days needs a confirmed rate. Loading, unloading, warehouse handling and redelivery are reviewed separately; the free storage allowance does not automatically include those services. Your written estimate records the agreed scope and charges.
Yes, ask the move team about the location and dates. Storage in other states is arranged and priced for your move; it is not included in the Florida warehouse free allowance. A move from another state into Florida does not automatically qualify either.
Save the private move link shown after your inventory is received. Your customer area keeps the move details, estimate revisions, storage request and messages together. You can request changes there; availability and any revised price still need team review.
Treat the answer as no for everyday access. Your shipment is sealed into wood vaults inside a working warehouse. There's no aisle, no keypad, no unit door with your name on it. Getting something out mid-storage means locating and unsealing a vault against the manifest, which is real warehouse work, not a quick stop.
If you know you'll need regular access to what's stored, say so before anything is sealed. A self-storage unit you can walk into genuinely serves that need better, and a dispatcher will tell you the same on the phone.
Inside the storage-in-transit window, yes, by the same valuation choice you made for the move. The shipment is still moving under one set of paperwork, so the coverage level you picked before loading, and the same claims process, ride with it into the warehouse.
Past that window, storage becomes its own arrangement with its own terms. Get those terms in writing before the conversion happens, not after. That handoff is exactly the kind of seam where paperwork gaps live.
The standard household-goods exclusions: anything hazardous (propane, paint, aerosols, ammunition), anything perishable, and live plants. Beyond the rules, a practical list: don't seal away passports, medication, chargers, or anything you'll want in the next month. A vault is not a place you pop into; pack a keep-with-me box before the crew arrives.
No, but deciding early is cheaper in surprises. Named on the video survey, storage lands on the written estimate before anything is loaded, priced in daylight. If your closing slips mid-move instead, call dispatch: storage in transit exists precisely for that, and the shipment diverts to the warehouse on the same manifest. The difference isn't whether we can do it. It's whether you saw the number first.

Build the inventory and review the calculation before entering your contact details. Unconfirmed charges stay visible for team review; sending a plan does not book the move.
